Alter Headquarters, is a large imposing tower of a building that lays in the center of the city of Zeno. Once a building of commerce. It is now used as a staging area for organisation of Alter Agents, as well as housing those of them that do not have their own homes.

The City of Zeno, is a large coastal city, that regretfully has fallen on hard times in recent years due to the darkness. In fact, ship travel is the only real means of leaving, and is insanely expensive. While the center of the city, is reasonably maintained. The outskirts that are closer to the darkness have fallen on hard times.

Against all stereotypes, the Docks of Zeno are in amazing repair and surprisingly well policed. This is due to there nature as being the city main, and pretty much sole means of importing food to the city.

The suburbs of Zeno are compared to the city center in a terrible state. Due to their proximity to the darkness and the ruins beyond, occasional attacks by creatures from the fog happen. Making it not the safe place to live anymore.

Beyond the suburbs that still stand, lay the ruins of the rest of the city and the towns beyond. Shrouded almost constantly in a light fog, only those with correct equipment or touched by and being an Alter are capable of seeing normally, while other sight is somewhat obscured. Missions from Alter Headquarters, often send Alters into the ruins to cull the darknesses numbers.
